Ms. Dost is already happily thrift-shopping with her students! After our stopover in Hastings we are on our way to Eastbourne. Now everyone is looking forward to meeting their host families.

We started our second day in England by exploring Eastbourne. Can you imagine, even the seagulls queue here!!

After enjoying our picnic by the pier, we embarked on a breathtaking (very windy) walk from Beachy Head to Birling Gap. What spectacular views! Happy teachers and a wonderful group.
We love England!

Third day in England:
After the rain and strong winds yesterday, we woke up to beautiful sunshine today!
Our bus took us to Dover. Under the castle of Dover, there are endless tunnels which were used to organize military operations at the end of World War I. We went on a tour of these, and then had time to explore the castle and further tunnels.
After enjoying the medieval playground, off we went to Canterbury. We explored the beautiful old city arround the famous cathedral, checked out some interesting small shops and went shopping for gifts.
What a day!

On our fourth day in England we took the scenic route along the coast to the city of Brighton. The Royal Pavillon impressed us with its glamour and craftsmanship – and the secret doors for the mistresses. ‘The Lanes’ of this colourful city offered lots of small unique shops to explore and so much to see!
We headed back to Eastbourne for an early night, as we’re already off to London at 5:45 am tomorrow morning.

We said goodbye to our host families and then far before sunrise, we were already on our way to LONDON. After entering the city by boat on the River Thames our first highlight was going up onto Tower Bridge. What a view, with double-decker buses passing under our feet.
Our walking tour of London took us to many sights we knew from our English lessons: Big Ben, The Globe Theater, Buckingham Palace, Millennium Bridge, and many more.
A ride on The London Eye, a giant ferris wheel, marked the end of our trip – saying goodbye to London and England from high above.
Now we’re very, very tired and off to Dover, with sore feet and many many memories, to take the ferry back to France and then drive through the night to arrive back home tomorrow afternoon.
